The flower paintings were inspired by John Bergers book, Ways of Seeing, they are an antithesis of the sexism of classical European oil painting, thus an reflection on modern everyday sexism. Men and women appear in different physical forms, plants and flowers. Their unhuman representation suggests how traditional roles of the sexes are a lot of times unable to define them.
