Lake Bokodi: This Hungarian stilt village is built on the Lake Bokodi that never freezes over due to the power plant that uses it as a cooling pond. Over the years, the lake became a popular spot for fishing and angling, and the locals erected a number of small wooden cottages on stilts, with wooden boardwalks leading to them. Lying northwest of the Hungarian capital Budapest is a collection of cabins on stilts that have become known as the 'floating village’.
